I met Chris soon after I met my [now] husband, 8 years ago. He and David were close friends and played rugby together for JSU. We quickly became friends. Partly becuase Chris is so dang easy to get along with, and partly because we all spent nearly every weekend together traveling to rugby games in my little two door Honda Civic, that had no air. Chris became like a brother to me. He was in our wedding, and ironically, we even wound up buying the house that he lived in all through college.
When Chris and Stephanie started dating, I wondered if she would be "the one". They seemed completely at ease with one another. I eventually decided I did think he would marry this girl. One day he sent me a picture of the ring he had settled on and boy oh boy, did he do good! He told me his plans of how he was going to propose. So then, I waited for the phone call that came on a Wednesday, which actually was a FaceTime session, showing off that pretty bling!!
Chris proposed to Stephanie on the famous walking bridge in downtown Chattanooga, where they both live. He skeemed together with Stephanie's best friend, getting her to the bridge, where Chris was standing, waiting with several balloons in tow. A play off the movie, Up. It turned out perfectly!
So, naturally we knew we'd take some portraits near the bridge. We walked around the Art District where we found some beautiful archways and greenery. We also decided on taking a few at Lookout Mountain, because Chris & Steph love going up there and taking in the gorgeous views. I mean, who doesn't?!
I'm so excited to be photographing their wedding next October, where I'm certain everyone will have involved will have a blast! Love you guys!!
